We look back at the India Week Hamburg 2017!
"If a city like Hamburg gives a country like India the space to present itself in all its facets, then this is a wonderful initiative, for which I congratulate the City of Hamburg.", says Ulrich Bäumer, Partner at Osborne Clarke in the DMA interview and we can only agree enthusiastically. From peace meditation to films from South India to readings, network events and information evenings, the India Week Hamburg 2017 has left nothing to be desired with a variation of over 80 events. Even better, you can experience most of the events in hindsight - without leaving your desk or sofa. The Media Academy Hamburg has shot 17 short videos to give exciting insights into selected events.
The Inaugural event of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce with the topic "India on the way to a formalized economy" was followed by the Senate reception in the evening, the official inauguration of the India Week Hamburg 2017. We participated as well, for instance on Tuesday, November 7th, at the event "Doing Business with India". Together with Dr. Doris Hillger, Foreign Trade Promotion International Markets, Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, we draw attention to current reforms and trends in India. Amongst other areas, digitalization plays a major role in the reform process. On Thursday, November 9th, we dedicated the event "The Era of Digitization" to this particularity. Osborne Clarke's office in the Tanzenden Türme, Hamburg, provided the perfect environment for a comprehensive exploration of technology and digitization in terms of the Indo-German relations. In order to be prepared for the electronic change in Germany and Europe, Hamburg Invest and Taylor Wessing informed already on Wednesday about "EU Data Protection Regulation".
We hope that you enjoyed the India Week Hamburg 2017 at least as much as we did and we are already looking forward to the sequel in 2019!
