Major Global Ports Conference 2015 in Hamburg
Next year the Port of Hamburg will be the venue for the premier event of the port community. From
banner theme of “City of Hamburg – Calling at the smartPORT” some1,000 guests from all over the
world will gather in Hamburg to debate the importance of sustainability in the maritime industry. On the
example of the Port of Hamburg the HPA will demonstrate how intelligent port management helps to

29th IAPH International World Ports Conference: "City of Hamburg – Calling at the smartPORT”
During the five-day conference of the IAPH (International Association of Ports and Harbors) in
Hamburg international representatives from business, politics and science will address the challenges
confronting us all in times of globalisation and climate change and discuss alternative actions to
ensure sustainable economic growth with as little impact on the environment as possible. The biennial
conference will be held at the Congress Center Hamburg (CCH). Other port cities that hosted the
IAPH International World Ports Conference in the past include Los Angeles and Busan.
Call for Papers and Company Presence in the Exhibition Area offer a wide Range of Contents
To promote a broad exchange of information at the international event, the HPA has initiated a Call for
Papers. If you are interested in becoming a speaker at the conference, please submit your proposal.
Apart from sharing knowledge and experiences during the conference days, the event also is about
networking. An exhibitor and trade show area as well as a diverse supporting programme will provide
