On Monday the 29th of February the Indian minister of finance Arun Jaitley presented the new union budget of India. In his speech the finance minister stated that farmers, the poor and vulnerable should benefit from the new plan.
Thus the winners of the new budget are the rural and social sector. The income of farmers shall be doubled by 2020 and furthermore Jaitley wants to subsidize irrigation. Furthermore the budget seeks to make 9 trillion Rupees available for farmers as credit.
For the development of infrastructure the union budget accredits 2.21trillion Rupees.
Coal producers and car makers are disadvantaged as it seeks to increase the tax. Additionally the duty on the jewelry and cigarettes are also to be increased.
