The alignment of the fair’s themes with the ever-expanding Indian maritime sector further strengthened Indo-German relations. Organized by INMEX SMM India in collaboration with the Hamburg Representation Mumbai, the delegation participated in key side events, including the inauguration of the India Pavilion, which spotlighted India’s growing influence in the maritime industry. Notable sessions included “India’s Maritime Ascent: Fostering Dynamic Global Partnerships,” featuring keynote speakers such as Dr. Venkata Ramana Akkaraju, Chairperson of the New Mangalore Port Authority, and Ms. Soumya Gupta, Consul General of India in Hamburg. These sessions underscored India’s pivotal role in shaping global maritime partnerships. A guided tour of the Port of Hamburg, led by Jahn Daniel of the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), provided the delegation with an in-depth understanding of Hamburg’s advanced port infrastructure and operations. The day concluded with a networking reception, featuring Indian cuisine, which provided an informal setting to strengthen relationships and reflect on the day’s events.
