HRM Anniversary

This year marks an important milestone for the Hamburg Representation Mumbai, as we celebrate 15 years of strengthening the partnership between Hamburg and India. Since its establishment, the office has played a key role in supporting economic cooperation, promoting Hamburg as a business and logistics hub, and facilitating exchanges between partners in both regions.

Over the past years, the focus of the office has continued to evolve in line with global developments and the growing importance of India as a strategic partner for Hamburg. Activities today range from supporting political and business delegations to organising meetings, networking formats and visits in sectors such as maritime logistics, innovation, renewable energy, trade fairs and cultural exchange. The office also works closely with partners in India to identify opportunities for cooperation and to promote Hamburg as a gateway to Europe.

The past year in particular has shown how dynamic the cooperation between Hamburg and India has become. With several delegations visiting India, new contacts being established and existing partnerships being further strengthened, the work of the Hamburg Representation Mumbai continues to contribute to building long-term relationships between both regions.

Looking ahead, the office will continue to support initiatives that bring Hamburg and India closer together — whether through business cooperation, innovation partnerships, cultural exchange or international events. The 15-year anniversary is therefore not only a moment to look back at what has been achieved, but also an opportunity to look forward to future projects and collaborations.
