German Pavilion at INMEX SMM India 2027
22–24 September 2027 | Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India
The Maritime Exchange Continues – Join Us in Mumbai!
Hamburg and India share a strong maritime connection, built on their ports, shipping industries and long-standing business relationships. Hamburg Representation Mumbai (HRM) actively supports this exchange, including facilitating Indian industry delegations to SMM Hamburg, the leading international maritime trade fair. Following Senator Dr Melanie Leonhard’s visit to India in February 2026 and Secretary Vijay Kumar’s subsequent visit to Hamburg, maritime cooperation between the two markets continues to gain momentum. The German Pavilion at INMEX SMM India 2027 is the next opportunity for German companies to build on these connections and explore new business opportunities in India.
From 22–24 September 2027, INMEX SMM India, South Asia’s largest maritime exhibition and conference, will take place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
INMEX SMM India covers the entire spectrum of maritime technologies and services and provides the ideal platform for entering the Indian market or expanding existing business relationships across the region.
The numbers speak for themselves: With more than 10,000 participants and around 300 exhibiting companies from 24 countries, INMEX SMM India 2025 reinforced its position as the leading meeting place for the maritime industry in South Asia.

India is pursuing ambitious growth plans in the maritime sector. Through initiatives such as the Maritime India Vision 2030 and the Maritime Amrit Kaal Vision 2047, the country is vigorously advancing the expansion of its maritime infrastructure. Ports, shipyards and logistics chains are being modernised, while investments in digitalisation and sustainable propulsion technologiesare gaining momentum. At the same time, India is becoming an increasingly important strategic partner for international industrial and infrastructure projects.
Under the Maritime India Vision 2030, investments of around USD 42 billion are planned for ports, logistics and shipbuilding. In addition, the Indian government has launched a USD 7.8 billion Shipbuilding & Maritime Package aimed at accelerating the development of the national shipbuilding industry.
With these initiatives, India has set the goal of becoming one of the world’s top 10 shipbuilding nations by 2030 and reaching the top 5 by 2047. This creates unparalleled market opportunities for international equipment manufacturers and technology providers.
